Confused Emotions
I am not sure how I am supposed to feel about my grandad Ks death. Am I confused, should I feel more sad or upset? I think I may even have a sense of guilt. I haven’t seen grandad K since I was little and as my mum wasn’t close with him we weren’t either. This is where the guilt comes in, should I have made more of an effort to see him? Should he have found me? I’m 25 and I haven’t seen him since I was about 6-ish (I think).
But with this guilt also comes the memory of this man who was not the most moral and stable person and so I question myself as to whether I should be feeling guilty. He was unpredictable and drank (a lot) but as I said I hadn’t seen him in so many years he could have turned his life around and I had no idea.
My emotions are torn and I don’t know how to feel. I know it’s too late to do anything differently and that I shouldn’t be thinking about what ifs but it’s is just one of those things, you can’t help but do it. How can one simply not question and take what happened with a grain of salt?

Hugs to you & your family today..death is a horrid, yet ineveitable part of our lives.
Yes indeed death does happen to us all. Just takes you be surprise sometimes. Thanks for commenting.
So sorry to hear about your losses this year my love. Regardless of how close we are with a loved one when they pass, we’re often left with a sense of ‘what if’. Sometimes people come into our lives for a reason and sometimes they stay out of it for a reason too (sorry about the philosophical ramble).
Big hugs to you and your family xx
That is exactly how I feel! The philosophical jumbo is the perfect explanation of how I feel. It’s confusing but that sums it up pretty much to a tee! Thanks lovely for commenting.
I know that awful feeling when there are too many deaths in a short period. Hoping that you and yours will find peace and that no more tragedies are in your near future. Best wishes.
Thanks Jenn. Fingers crossed that is it for a very long time!
I am so sorry for your loss. I was just working on a post remembering my last remaining grandparent. I know how you feel. I am so sorry!
