Everyone has heard of the LEGO Movie and those who haven’t have obviously been living under a rock! Whether you have seen it or not there is no denying that it is a hit with kids (big and small). Mr C took B1 and B2 to see it at the cinema when it was first released and they absolutely loved it! How could they not? Everything is awesome! We’ve all seen the adverts for the new movie Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy and it looks great. I love seeing transformations like this happen. The pretty little Disney fairies that flutter around being all girly and petite get to experience the more boy related journeys and get dirty. Keep healthy this winter

Keeping healthy and on top of life in winter is a hard thing to accomplish especially when you have kids that attend school or childcare. They pick up bugs, flus and god only knows what else. Being the sharing little people they are they distribute these germs around the home and to everyone else in the vicinity of a 100m radius. Extra precautions are required in the cooler months to keep immune systems at their best, to kick the health draining illnesses in the backside before they have a chance to take hold and keep you out of the game. As soon as we feel the season changing we ensure we take our vitamins and eat extra vegetables so that we are doing everything we can to maintain our health. While I find it easy enough to swallow vitamins the kids struggle and it’s near impossible unless they are chewable. Up…

Adventure Sketchers brings art to life

Trying to find interactive games that are educational and fun is often a hard task to accomplish; add in the fact that you want it for a 5 year old and you want them to love it adds another dimension of difficulty. I’m pretty impressed with myself because I have done it! I found a LeapFrog game called Adventure Sketchers for my sons LeapPad, it is innovative and brings their art to life. The kids love that it is interactive and they can record phrases that play in the game and then there is the pictures they create that appear while they are playing. This is great for on-the-go or if you need 5 minutes quiet and the kids won’t even realise you are benefiting from it (they’ll think you are great for letting them play).
