I will be showing my respects today by marching. My boys and my husband will be also. I will remember all those who served and honour those who died while serving in military operations during the First World War.
We will remember the courage, the spirit, the sacrifice these brave men made for us.
They will not be forgotten! They will be remembered and the stories will continue to be passed down through the generations.
ANZAC Day is remembered in many ways – dawn vigils, memorial services, marches, wearing rosemary and/or red poppies. Having a game of 2UP, a cold drink or even an ANZAC cookie!

We went to the school and marched with the parade.
Thanks for your comment. I am so proud of how much my 5 year old wanted to march, with his badge and sprig of rosemary and all dressed up in his school uniform. It was wonderful to see all the kids doing it.
It’s such a special day. This year I went to my first ever dawn service with a friend who served 10 years in the special forces. It was so moving to experience it with someone to whom it’s incredibly important. Can’t wait until my son is a little older and I can start teaching him about the significance of Anzac Day.
