LeapFrog My Puppy Pal + GIVEAWAY

Opening her Christmas presents Poppet squealed with joy when she ripped off the wrapping to her very own LeapFrog My Puppy Pal, Violet. No other presents mattered, she had everything she needed. This is no ordinary Puppy Pal though; it has been personalised. That’s right, you can now get the much loved Puppy Pal in a customised version.

LeapFrog My Puppy Pal

The LeapFrog My Puppy Pal Scout (green) and Violet (purple) feature amazing educational technology that can be customised to suit your childs’ personality. These gorgeous little puppies can be personalised to encourage little ones to interact and engage in dialogue by incorporating the childs’ name and favourite things (food, colours, animals, songs, etc). The best thing is it only takes a couple of minutes, seriously about 3!! You can even customise it while it is still in the box; making the LeapFrog Puppy Pal an excellent gift!

LeapFrog My Puppy Pal

Poppet plays with Violet everyday, has since learnt 3 different animal sounds and loves to interact with her little puppy friend. The LeapFrog Puppy Pal teaches children about emotions by telling the child “I am happy ‘Childs name’ will you smile with me?” or “I am feeling sad, can I please have a hug?”. It discusses daily routines by talking about things you do at certain times of the day, counting and even switches to lullaby mode.

LeapFrog My Puppy Pal

The lullaby mode is used most nights here by Poppet. She pushes the lullaby button on Violets’ foot, lays down and drifts off to sleep. This bedtime feature is amazing because it gives you the option of playing soft gentle music for 5, 10 or 15 minutes by simply pressing the foot once, twice or three times. It is the perfect bedtime pal.

I like the lullaby feature and how it has different lengths of time! Nothing worse than bub waking up towards the end of the lullaby and trying to sneak in for it to replay! 🙂

I love that it can be personalised with your child’s name, which means it’s more likely the child will identify with the toy and make it their very special play time and bed time buddy! Sounds like a toy that will last forever!

The ‘song’ feature is amazing, makes for wonderful interactive play and can also be used as a ‘soother’ when mum can’t immediately drop everything to give attention or play.

    Personalisation for things that matter,
    Opens up dialogue,
    Smart useful chatter.
    Interaction is key,
    To the learning process.
    LeapFrog have nailed it,
    With this concept.

What an impressive little puppy this is! Leap Frog just continue to churn out toys of wonder and amazement. Not only is this the cutest little friend to hug, hold and carry all over the place but it hosts tons of fun with its interactive songs, sounds and fun phrases enhancing sensory development, eye-hand co-ordination and fine motor skills. I love how it helps introduces the newest generation to the world around them. This sounds like too much fun for just the kids I think I might have to stop in at Myer tomorrow just to have a little bit of a play myself!! Ha, ha!!!

Our little Miss saw Violet and melted. “Ooohh she’s so cute, adordable (adorable). I love her”. So apart from all her other teaching features which will certainly let her interact happily, she just wants her to cuddle and hold. She would get a kick out of then realising she talks and has conversations. Her tea parties will be extra special.

I have a beautiful 3 year old granddaughter who loves a hug and a chat and I think My Pal Scout is ideal for her as he is very cute, adorable and great for teaching children practical things like the alphabet, emotions and children can give Scout hugs.

  30. JOHANNE
    31/01/2015 / 10:29 pm

Considering I’m totally tone deaf which sadly my kids have informed me, I am banned from singing anywhere near them. Even though I’m in denial I better do the right thing and shut up…so as not to traumatize miss 4 so my puppy pat scout needs to take over from me now in the lullaby dept. I love how interactive he is to the point of being personalized to my daughters wants and needs. A best friend in the making.

  31. ang t
    01/02/2015 / 5:56 pm

personalise is the key because my kids and many others have unique names and finally they would have something they will cherish forever and we could add more songs so it will last a lifetime they could then hand onto their own kids

all children like to feel special just like all adults do, it always feels so nice to have something personalised just for you.

I love that Scout (or Violet) are new and clean – unlike “Santa Bear” who is being dragged everywhere with us and quite frankly could do with being replaced. February seems like a good month to move him on.

  37. Teena

The lullabies will help put miss 16 months to sleep of a night time instead of FROZEN which she has worn out.

  40. Lydia Rofe
    03/02/2015 / 9:47 am

The fact that it is soft and cuddly. All the features are fantastic and I Iove that it can be personalised but the ability of my baby to get a cuddle from it or snuggle into it as it sings him to sleep is really important to me.

  41. Kristy winters
    03/02/2015 / 10:04 am

I love that it has a personalised message .

  42. 03/02/2015 / 10:47 am

I think my 2 year old would love this and help her as she is still not talking

  43. Renee Poleta
    03/02/2015 / 11:35 am

My 15 month old daughter gets sooo excited over the little dog next door and start making barking sounds. She would love My Puppy Pal!

  44. Amanda
    03/02/2015 / 3:33 pm

Where were these kind of toys when I was a kid? I’m impressed.
I think it is important that My Puppy Pal teaches kids about emotions, something they really dont know how to express – often it comes out it negative ways but Id hope with Leapfrog play it would change all that.

  45. Elle
    04/02/2015 / 12:03 am

I too love the customisable feature! With a house of 6 girls, often toys become everyone’s and I’d love for my youngest to have something that she identifies as only hers. Sure she’ll have to – and will hopefully want to – share it, but it’s just nice to have something all of your own, a toy that seemingly KNOWS it’s hers 😛

  46. Kelly-Anne Leddy
    04/02/2015 / 4:21 pm

Definitely the emotions feature – children dont always know how to tell people if they are feeling sad or angry so this will definitely help them express these feelings

  47. Carissa
    04/02/2015 / 8:49 pm

I love that you can change the songs … it helps keeps my sanity by not hearing the same song on repeat and it would seem like the dog is alive to my daughter since it has the ability to learn new songs!!!

  48. Teegan
    04/02/2015 / 9:58 pm

As a speechie plush toys like these are essential! I’m crossing my fingers 😀

  49. Lisa Jene
    04/02/2015 / 10:37 pm

Victor is always looking for hugs. That Scout asks for one will make his day (after we talk about how sad we are that Scout feels sad etc).

  50. Carolyn
    04/02/2015 / 11:00 pm

I love that it can be personalised but I think the lullaby function may trump that. I mean if something else is going to out your child to sleep beside you then that is gold (or green in this case!)

  51. Amy B
    04/02/2015 / 11:33 pm

My daughter would get plenty of enjoyment out of this cute little puppy.

  52. Sally blazely
    05/02/2015 / 11:34 am

I love that leapfrog recognises my sons name…Aspen! It is virtually impossible to find something personalised for him, but knowing this little fella will converse with him by name, teach him feelings and play music as he drifts off to sleep, makes me think all the forthright people that like to tell me his name is “weird” might not be so right after all!

  53. Beth Purdy-Dart
    05/02/2015 / 11:48 am

I love that it would say my sons name! I can just see his little face light up when the cute little puppy really talks to him!

  54. Liz
    05/02/2015 / 12:34 pm

I love the lullaby mode – scout has been putting our little man to sleep since he was 5 months old. Definitely a must have for the next baby!!!

    05/02/2015 / 2:13 pm

I <3 the customised part in the puppy pal, as I'd love to gift this puppy pal to a friend of mine's daughter and to pre-customise it would be aamzing!

  61. Michelle Winthrop
    06/02/2015 / 4:56 pm

My daughter loves that it says her name. Ours is very well loved and in desperate need to be replaced.

  62. Kerrie McDermid
    06/02/2015 / 6:48 pm

I love how it uses the childs name, it makes it more personal.

  63. Fe Roza
    06/02/2015 / 7:14 pm

Lullaby mode would be great, for when the baby’s awake and it’s much to late, to get the boys off to sleep, so they don’t have to try and count sheep.

  64. Cate
    06/02/2015 / 9:08 pm

I love the feature of discussing the daily routine. Perfect for preparing my little boy who doesn’t like the transition from one activity to the next (=tantrum!)With the assistance of ‘Scout’ we might be ready for smoother daily routines.

  65. Julia Parker
    07/02/2015 / 1:08 am

  68. Shannon Howell
    07/02/2015 / 11:05 am

I Love the personalisation, my daughter had a violet and loved it, but it was not personalised. I now have a little boy and I’m sure he will also love it and even better, it will say his name!

  69. monica s.
    07/02/2015 / 10:13 pm

‘Customised to suit your childs’ personality’….new baby has made my granddaughter a ‘middle child’ this Puppy Pal would soothe her in regards to not being ‘baby’ anymore!

  70. Anni
    08/02/2015 / 8:50 am

I’m tone deaf. Partner has a stunning voice. I want my ‘littlie’ to hear and enjoy the full range of notes I can’t supply but LEAPFROG Puppy could, along with cuddles and companionship. Our yard is ‘kid fenced’ but, because we live next to a busy highway, a real live pup, though wanted, is not safely possible.

  71. Kaya
    08/02/2015 / 11:26 am

The best feature for us is that Scout is a one-piece toy
ie. he isn’t comprised of hundreds of tiny, colourful, rubber pieces that scatter across the carpet and throughout the house.

  72. Becky Downey
    08/02/2015 / 10:19 pm

I like the emotions bit — recognising and dealing with happiness and sadness. Learning to give people a hug when they’re sad is an essential skill in life!

  73. Steph Christie
    09/02/2015 / 8:11 am

I love how fully customisable it is. Even from inside the box. That way, when Bubble opens it, she will think it’s MAGIC that this little puppy knows who she is and what she likes! What a great learning experience!

  74. Cathy Bowdler
    09/02/2015 / 11:03 am

The Lullaby Feature would be nice,
to help get little miss asleep in trice,
    as she LEAPFROGs into sleep,
snuggled into her Puppy Pal Scout.

  75. 09/02/2015 / 6:21 pm

To see the smile on a little childs face is worth all of the time putting in for this competition and great prize

  76. Jenny Swift
    09/02/2015 / 11:44 pm

Wow, such a clever little pup! My little man Joshua would absolutely love for Scout to keep him company now that his big sisters are back at school. Love that Leapfrog’s My Puppy Pal helps teach littlies about emotional responses. Josh is at the stage of struggling to express himself and deal with emotions which means temper tantrums are often getting the better of him (and me too!). 😀

  77. Kathryn Tupper
    09/02/2015 / 11:54 pm

The daily routines being discussed and the emotions, perfect education especially for those under the Autism spectrum. This would be a wonderful prize for my niece.
