I’m a huge fan of lemon slice and although I haven’t made your recipe yet, I’ve saved it to my favourites (for the next rainy day).
You had me at condensed milk ;o)
Anyway, lemons aren’t always in season and sometimes the dawdle to the back lemon tree can be a little arduous through that jungle that we call home so I ALWAYS have a jar of lemon curd/lemon butter in the fridge. I add it to cream for pancakes and pavlovas, cake icing, cake mix, cupcake filling and basically anything that requires lemon rind or lemon juice. Try it yourself, you may never look back!!
No locating, cutting, squeezing, juicing or grating – and no curdled cream!! Easy as…. SLICE!

Yum!!! Lemon Slice is probably my favourite slice!! I’ve never made it with shortbread though – such a great idea! I’m definitely going to do that next time. Thanks so much for linking up with our Fabulous Foodie Fridays party! xx
