This is an open letter to the judging mum standing there pretending to be perfect and sweet. I have had many conversations with you in the past, all of which have been pleasant and while I wouldn’t say we are friends, I would say we interact in a friendly manner. This may be out of convenience or because we have mutual friends and it’s the polite thing to do. 5th wedding anniversary

Today marks 5 years of marriage and 5th wedding anniversary for Mr C and myself. 5 whole years. We have actually been together for 12 years; I was 15 when we first decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend and it feels like a lifetime ago. (That makes me 27 years old now for those who are currently doing the maths.) I say it feels like a lifetime ago because so much has happened in those 12 years. We have moved nine times including an interstate move where we knew absolutely no one, had 3 feral beautiful children (still have them somewhere actually), we built a house and somewhere along the way we got married.
